I believe if you are coming to oxford for travel and deciding on what accommodation to book, look no further than rustys. The location is perfect, walking distance to all tourist areas and several restaurants nearby. The apartment is clean is and jammed with amenities to cater to your needs. It also has netflix, comfortable bed and generally quite clean. I feel if there are any downsides to this place it might be the noise which has been touched upon before but as we went during midweek, i did not encounter much issue but believe if you were to stay on friday and saturday night it might be a bit noisy. The other thing is parking, you will need to find parking around the areas and expect to pay during the day. Otherwise, thank you Rusty for the stay and for being a responsive host.

Rusty is also very responsive in every detail and friendly in all the communications. The location of the airbnb is also very convenient for tourists btw - it is right on George st so very close to rad cam and other scenic spots.

Great central stay in Oxford
Positive: Great central location, apartment itself is lovely and well equipped. Great decoration, comfy beds and very well sized bathroom. Easy check in and check our process. Did exactly what was needed for my trip :) Negative: Only minor drawback is the bedroom windows are single pane and so the noise from the street is quite easily heard in the rooms.

Positive: No breakfast was provided. Negative: The front door, key boxes and hallway were in need of updating. Paint peeling off the wall etc. Once inside the flat things improved but at first we were nervous about going in. Inside the flat the left hand bathroom basin had a leaking pipe, bath panel was damaged and needed replacing. Kitchen was fine but tea, coffee were in the wrong tins, there was only camomile tea or coffee. Either provide a decent range of basic drinks or don't bother! Very noisy outside until at least 2am.

The interior design of the apartment added a touch of elegance and made me feel right at home. Negative: I recently rented an apartment through Booking.com, and while the apartment itself was well-furnished, well-equipped, and nicely designed, there were some significant inconveniences that were not mentioned on the website. Firstly, there was no mention of the absence of a lift or the presence of stairs, which made it extremely difficult to carry our luggage during check-in and check-out. Additionally, the location on George street proved to be quite noisy, with disturbances from drunk people fighting and loud yelling until the early hours of the morning, making it challenging to get a restful night's sleep. Moreover, the booking process itself was quite frustrating. After booking the apartment, the owner of the company contacted me via email, demanding copies of our documents and selfies before confirming the booking. Furthermore, they required a deposit, and without it, they refused to confirm our reservation. This additional process made the overall booking experience exhausting and unnecessarily lengthy. I believe that it is crucial for Booking.com to ensure that all necessary details about the property, including any potential inconveniences or additional requirements from the property owner, are clearly communicated on the website. Transparency and accurate information are essential for guests to make informed decisions and have a hassle-free experience. I hope that this feedback will be taken into consideration to improve the booking process and the overall user experience for future guests. P.S. I kindly request that the deposit be refunded as soon as possible. Before leaving the apartment, I made a video of all the rooms to ensure there is proof that everything was left in its original condition. Your prompt attention to this matter is greatly appreciated.

Positive: Within easy walking distance to all the main attractions in Oxford. Room was large and the bed was comfortable. Good amenities too. Negative: It was above a cafe and a pub with a large restaurant across the road. Exceptionally noisy at night but particularly in the early hours of the morning when the bins were emptied or food and alcohol was delivered …. All before 6:30am! The apartment was hot but leaving the windows open at night meant even more noise. They also asked for a £250 refundable bond 3 days before arrival which came out of my account immediately but took 3 weeks to be reimbursed….and I had to call after two weeks and ask where it was! I didn’t think that was very good!

Brilliant location for an overnight stay in Oxford as it is right in the centre of town. Would recommend parking at the Worcester Street car park if there’s lots to bring to the apartment (we had a newborn and a toddler) as the car park is a short walk away (<5mins) but it is expensive (£40 for 24h). As mentioned in other reviews there are lots of stairs (from the street to the door and not really any area to leave a pram but we managed it between my husband, my parents and me - but you do need to keep a close eye on children with all the stairs. The bedrooms are bigger than they look on the pictures and there was plenty of space for all of us.

Positive: It was fantastic to be in a rental appartement where all the equipment just worked as it should and everything you expect to be there is actually present. Great central location, although that also comes with all the noises you expect from a central location of course. Negative: If I really have to comment on something than they might want to clean the outside of the windows a bit more often.

Ik belde met de organisatie zei gaven aan me niet binnen te laten omdat ik de borg niet betaalde. ik heb meerdere keren uitgelegd en screenshots gestuurd van het feit dat ik wel had geprobeerd te betalen, maar dat hij €0.0 afschreef ipv €290,00. ik vroeg me binnen te laten omdat ik inmiddels al bijna een uur met 2 kinderen en bagage op de stoep stond. ze weigerde dit omdat ze anders haar baan zou verliezen. na een uur zeuren en meerdere mensen aan de lijn gehad te hebben kreeg ik een andere link en konden we naar binnen. 2 weken na het verblijf zou ik de borg terug krijgen. Ook hier moest ik achteraan en ruim een maand later heb ik de borg terug gekregen.

The home was clean, exactly as pictured, and cozy for a homey stay in Oxford. It was a little loud when the bars closed, but that's to be expected in such a central location. Positive: The main bed was large and very comfortable. And that's about it. Negative: It was central. But it was neither modern nor a gem. Front door opened to a vestibule with paint peeling (tacky but understandable with suitcase traffic). Outside noise through to the early hours from the bar downstairs. There was no soundproofing from street noise or from other residents walking / stamping up and down the stairs the front door of the building slamming. The double bed in the second room was very small, and not all that comfortable.

It was very difficult to find the apartment as the flat number given on their description didn't match the reality. We reserved the flat by iPhone App and all seemed well. Then we got request from the owners to supply photos from all of us for Passport and Passport/face showing the same time. We had to stop at a restaurant with proper internet access to that just that for several hours. We received this request six times from a NO-REPLY@. internet address. This went back and forth with numerous phone calls. After four hours of delay in our traveling we finally succeeded sending our IDs for approval. Then we realized that our Visa had been charged almost $300.00 for security deposit that would be returned if we left the place clean and unbroken. You could not leave that place clean even if you tried - windows were disgustingly dirty. The experience made us wonder the true value of booking BnBs on the run.

The kitchen is well equipped, and the tea, coffee, etc are a nice touch, which we appreciated :) As noted in many of the reviews, it's noisy in the evening, but this is easily dealt with with some earplugs. Overall, I recommend this property.

Negative: this honestly might be the loudest location in Oxford. my family was kept awake by patrons of the four candles until past 1-2am each evening. on the second evening we were awakened by a young man violently vomiting in the street below us. on the third night an alarm awoke us at 5am. My Stay at the Oxford Loft apartment
Positive: The flat itself though was lovely, and the geographical location spot on. We'll decorated and furnished. Kids loved it. Negative: The flat was in an extremely noisy neighbourhood. Kept awake til around 4am each night by drinkers, then woken up by about 5.30-6am by trucks making deliveries and buses /mopeds/taxis driving past and parking right below the bedroom window. The information did not advise any of this and in fact asked for us to be considerate to neighbours! The walls also shook everytime someone closed the main front door with a violent slam! When we turned up there were cleaning staff in communal areas, but they did not greet us, just stare as we attempted to find our flat and did not say a thing.

Negative: Because of the location it can be very noisy at night, (ear plugs required) the loft would benefit from secondary glazing. Couple of the fixtures needed attention such as the light switch in the lounge, the blind and centre light fixing in the smaller bedroom and tap in bathroom but these were very minor issues and didn't impact on our stay
