This house is in a good location for Jericho, and very near a high street with supermarkets, a pharmacy, lovely coffee and cafes. It is reasonably priced compared to other similar sized properties in the area. One double bedroom on the ground floor next to the front door. There are two bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor and a fourth bedroom and tiny wetroom on the top floor. The garden is enclosed and covered in astroturf, which had old cigarette butts on it, but once we had cleaned it up it was a good space for little children. The house was relatively clean, but it has clearly not been lived in for a very long time and it is rather unloved, with thick layers of dust behind the ikea drawers in the rooms and blankets to cover up a corner sofa that has completely collapsed underneath. The host requires that guests use a digital key called Klevio for access, which means you have to download an app and share a log in if you need multiple keys. This didn't always work.

The location was great. A block from the Oxford canal and places to eat and drink. The house was perfect. The only drawback was that the wireless lock on the front door did not work properly, however within five minutes Daniel gave us the code for the lockbox, and from there we just used the key. I would gladly stay there again. Super handy to the train station along the canal. Super handy to Jerico with all the shops and markets. Oxford center is only a 10 minute walk.

The city and restaurants nearby were excellent the ID info was a nightmare, the place was grubby.
Positive: The location was excellent . The house was pleasant but some bedrooms lacked storage facilities. We liked using the canal path to walk into the city. It was a quiet and peaceful street. Negative: We had to provide a ridiculous amount of photo and ID information for each member of our group. It was complicated and time consuming. They required us to use a complicated Klevio security app . We were unhappy about the whole access routine. Eventually a key box was made available! It was stressful. The information regarding the WiFi was incorrect and we couldn't find the router. Much later it was located in a drawer under the oven!

Le logement proposé par Daniel et Olivia est très bien situé, dans un quartier agréable légèrement à la périphérie du centre ville. Mais la balade pour y arriver en bord de canal est très sympathique. Le logement est un peu usé à certains endroits mais il reste spacieux, lumineux et propre. Très agréable dans l'ensemble. Seul point négatif : le choix d'une serrure numérique pour ouvrir et verrouiller la porte de la maison. Cette dernière ne marchait pas. Même si une solution a été trouvée avec une clé physique, le boîtier de la clé numérique ne nous permettait pas de fermer la porte de l'intérieur. Nous avons donc dû laisser la porte déverrouillée durant la nuit, ce qui n'était pas rassurant. Je conseille donc de revenir à un mode normal car visiblement ce n'est pas la première fois que cela arrive.

Having lived in Jericho for 12 years, I was eager to stay at this property. It has the potential to be wonderful. Bright, cheerful light and open spaces, but grimy. Mold in bathtub. Filthy sofa with stains. I washed handrails because they were black with hand prints. Dirty carpets. Hassle with check in. Disappointed, given its potential.

This place is a cute little get away on the periphery of Oxford. It’s walkable to the train station via the banks of the canal which is picturesque and pleasant. The house itself is decently appointed and has some personal touches like board games and some tea and coffee. I’d recommend if you need to house many people in one place!

We really enjoyed our stayed. All the rooms were clean and exactly as described. We were a family of 7 including 2 kids. It didn’t have too much decoration which was perfect for when you are bringing kids. But the place also looked lovely itself. When coming out the door, turn right instead of the left side. You will find plenty of shops/restaurants… Otherwise, you will not find anything for a good 10-15 mins walk. Only downside (for us) was the most parking spaces are only for permit holders. You can still find pay parking. But you will need to plan in advance. Daniel was super helpful and responsive. Thank you.

This house is lovely and has tremendous potential. The location is quiet but walkable to great restaurants, grocery shops, and city center. The property is managed by a professional management group, not the owners themselves. All the rooms were comfortable, clean, and functional. My main complaint is that the internet did not work for the entire 10 days I stayed there. Despite my numerous attempts to get help fixing it, the issue was never resolved. To compound the challenge, there is limited cellphone signal in the entire house. Combined, these caused significant problems for my remote work schedule as I had to take calls from other locations, including at night with other timezones. Fixing an internet connection should be relatively straightforward. There was no discount offered for the inconvenience.

Pros: The apartment was large, spacious and as described, with bathrooms on each floor. Lots of books and toys for people with children. Located within walking distance to shops and amenities. Cons: - No instructions were given before we got there which meant we had to wait for over 30 mins with our luggage and tired guests to open the door. - lock issues - you need to download an app that would lock/unlock the door - which took 5/6 attempts to shutdown/restart the app for the lock/unlock to work. Every time. (This meant we were delayed to our reservations) you also have to request access for others which took over night to receive. - On the second day we had two strangers unlock the door unannounced and walk in to collect rubbish. Which we were told we were to drop outside for collection on a Friday morning - which never happened. - on leaving the premise - the door wouldn’t lock at all. We had to wait on the phone with the company for over 40 mins to resolve the issue.

The place is in good condition, convenient to restaurants, a bit far from the city if we walk. However, we are not quite happy with the experience: 1) We could not lock the door after us. When we called the service, they told us that it was Sunday and we should just wait until Monday for anybody to come (if at all), which means we couldn't leave the house for the entire Sunday because we couldn't leave the house unlocked (!). Not sure how they think they can give such a kind of instructions. 2) They called us during our stay telling us that somebody would get into the house to fix the faucet. I asked them how long that would be and they wouldn't tell me. We can't just leave the house with our belongings for somebody to come in. If we stay at home to get the handyman in, we need to know when and how long. 3) The kitchen hood is super low, hanging off in the middle of the kitchen with sharp edges. A few of us hit our heads a couple of times during our stay. It's pretty dangerous.

Unfortunately, really disappointed with our stay. It was 30 degrees outside so we were looking forward to spending time in the garden. The house was nice but absolutely boiling inside, it had huge big glass doors at the back to access the garden/ventilate the house but there was no key to open them! Looked everywhere, messaged and rang Staybeyond multiple times, no answer. The food we brought to cook was wasted as we couldn't stay there any longer as it was so so hot. Instead we had to pay for 8 people to eat out. Finally got a call back 4 hours later and was told no one was in office, we would have to wait til Monday -we left sunday- told us we cant open the doors as the key broke and to just adjust the thermostat heating, which was also broken. StayBeyond said they would call back and open a case, recieved no call again and wouldn't answer the phone after several attempts. Really unhelpful and poor communication throughout and didn't hear back until nearly a week after after

This house is fantastic. And the location is perfect for central Oxford. The canal and Port Meadow were both nearby and there are several pubs within one minute walk. Jericho is a fantastic area and has everything that you’d need for your stay. The house is well appointed and ideally suited for families with kids.

The house is spacious and well located - but could certainly do with some tlc (new paint, fresh carpeting, clean oven, deep clean of hard to reach spaces, grubby baby toys not necessary, and front door could do with replacing!) A broom or dustpan and brush would have been useful. If you‘re not fussy, this property will be fine for you. The location is quiet and friendly with lots of lovely bars and restaurants within walking distance, as well as a great cinema!

Positive: Location, comfortable beds, outdoor space. Good kitchen equipment. Negative: The app to unlock the front door which was in such bad shape we could’ve kicked it in… and nerve-racking as to whether it would work. Good old-fashioned door keys please! The crazy way we had to send selfies of us holding ID - which provides absolutely no evidence of who actually comes to stay… And unfortunately the fridge door fell off in the first half hour and it could do with a lick of paint.

Positive: Absolutely nothing. Property looked nothing like pictures shown. House was worn/tired, cold and the sofa/carpets had a strange smell. Over two weeks since stay and still waiting for my £300 deposit back. Management very slow to respond and then just refer you to other management teams. House has no parking and is very far from shops/attractions and is opposite flats that resembles council estate/social housing. Didn’t feel like a safe area. Getting into house is a nightmare as you have to download an app that didn’t work. I was left outside properly for 30 mins and management did not respond to messages. Negative: The pictures indicated that the house had a trampoline and baby safely gates. But when we arrived there were none. The garden was empty and my three children were very disappointed as I’d promised they could play on a trampoline after our very long drive. Also no safety gates made our stay with twin toddlers very stressful as there are three floors and the staircases are steep with no railings. We’d even asked in advance about the baby gates and so felt we’d been misled when there were none. Management slow to respond and refused to offer any form of apologies or discount. Still waiting for our £300 deposit back.

Positive: appartamento era ben strutturato ed arredato. tranne la porta di ingresso che sembrava potesse essere buttata giù con una spallata Negative: abbiamo richiesto di anticipare l’ingresso (5bimbi piccoli), concesso per email ma impossibile entrare 2 ore di attesa e nessuna risposta , perché i telefoni erano oberati. 2. l’appartamento era molto freddo e di notte in particolare 3. i bagni erano freddi senza nessuna risposta di come scaldarli 4. i piatti non erano po il puliti 5. la chiave elettronica era strutturata per solo una persona nonostante eravamo in 2 famiglie . è stata una lunga storia per averne due ci siamo per forza arrangiati e poi tutti andato per il meglio. sono problemi migliorabili con molta facilità.

Positive: Bien situé, bien aménagé en general Negative: L’agence utilisée par les propriétaires, stay beyond, est très mal organisée. Les communications sont difficiles. On nous a demandé d’envoyer des photos de nos permis de conduire ainsi que des photos d’identité. La maison mitoyenne était en reconstruction, nous n’en avons pas été prévenus. Il nous a été très difficile d’entrer dans la maison le premier jour car il fallait télécharger un app, les instructions pour ce faire étaient très confuses. Il y avait une vieille fuite au plafond du salon. L’écran de douche sur la baignoire n’était pas bien scellé. La maison a besoin de réparations. Pour finir on nous a demandé une caution de 300 livres qui ne nous a toujours pas été remboursée, le délai pouvant aller jusqu’à 15 jours…

Positive: Fantastic location, close to lots of local shops, cafes and restaurants - only a 8 mins walk to central Oxford. Lovely house, that was well equipped. The rooms were bright and airy. I would definitely recommend this property, especially if there were a few of you and you wanted to all be together. Great stay! Negative: It was a real faff at the beginning of the stay. The booking agent wanted scanned copies of photo ID's of all adults staying at the property (plus selfies with you holding the ID). Then you had to pay a hefty deposit (which has not yet been returned), and finally you had to download an app and figure out how to open the door using your phone app. It was quite tricky and stressful - hoping that you'd be able to get all the info through in time. I did call the agent and they were super helpful which was good

Positive: The property was perfect for what we wanted. We were a group of 6 teachers and the property gave us a great place to be together again. The bedrooms were spacious as well as a great living area and kitchen. The location in Jericho was also perfect for our needs to get into the high street of Oxford. Negative: The process of negotiating with StayBeyond was strenuous to say the least. There was an issue with the ceiling leaking in the living room from the shower on the first floor which was pre-existing and there was also plugs that caused electric sparks from the wall.

Location was great. Jericho has quite a few nice restaurants & bars. 15 minute walk to heart of Oxford along the canal. Nice quiet neighborhood. Nice back garden & bright kitchen/living room. Good space in the apartment, but not clean. Construction next door 6 days a week with loud drilling/hammering& huge trucks parked outside. Also, there is no bedroom with twin beds. The twin beds are pushed together to make a king bed, and the decorative fireplace in that room makes them difficult to separate. My biggest complaint was that I had asked the Management company about these 2 specific issues (construction & twin beds) at least 4x since April & never got an answer other than “they would look into it”. Finally, it’s a joke to pay a $135 cleaning fee and have to wear shoes in the house because the floors were so dirty. My first truly disappointing Airbnb experience.
